Cannot log into console after password login disabled

Helloo,
Yesterday, we disabled password-based login. We currently have only one external IdP linked. Since making that change, we are unable to log in even through the IdP.
When attempting to authenticate via the IdP, we receive the message: “External user not found. Do you want to link or create a new one?” But when we attempt to link, we get a “user already exists” error. As a result, we are completely locked out of the console and cannot log in.
Could you assist us in resolving this situation, and advise on how to prevent this from happening in a production environment? We’re concerned that a similar lockout could occur there as well.
