FWe run cloud run and cloud sql so not exactly the same.
I see some options here:
1) We can extend the chart to allow sidecars
2) You could use something like post-render https://fluxcd.io/flux/components/helm/helmreleases/#post-renderers
3) You could deploy the proxy as deplyoment/daemonset

FYeah the jobs also need DB access.
ATM we lack the capacity, but we would certainly be open for a PR or the feature request
